Yoga Classes
 
Our yoga classes are designed to help:
 
                              Improve strength and flexibility
                              Reduce muscle tension
                              Ease joint stiffness
                              Manage stress
 
   Our yoga classes are offered in various levels to accommodate beginners, seniors, those recovering from injury, as well as the advanced student.
 
   The design of these classes allow for individualized instruction to ensure that each participant is performing the postures safely and effectively. Time for questions and discussion will be a part of each class.
 
Offered in Various Levels

Chair Yoga:
  This gentle 45-minute class is for those who do not wish to get on the floor. Participants will be led through a series of basic Hatha yoga postures that are done while seated in or holding onto a chair. This class helps to improve posture, flexibility and balance. Concludes with a guided meditation.

Gentle/Restorative Yoga:
This 45 minute class takes participants through gentle floor based stretches and restorative postures using yoga props such as pillows, straps and bolsters. A very slow moving and relaxing class designed to help managechronic pain and reduce stress. Class concludes with a 10 minute meditation/relaxation session.

Yoga Stretch:
This 60-minute class involves instruction in basic yoga postures both standing and on the floor. Emphasis is on correct alignment and stretching. The class concludes with a guided meditation. Variations are shown for those with back, neck, knee and other injuries as well as variations for the intermediate yoga student. This class is ideal
for those looking for a relaxing yoga/stretch class.

Beach Walk/Beach Yoga: (Seasonal)
  This 90-minute class begins with a 10-15 minute beach walk to a more secluded spot. Followed by a gentle yoga practice. See the description above for our yoga stretch class. We will then beach walk 10-15 minutes to get back to the studio. Meet at the studio at least five minutes before the start of the class . Bring a beach blanket. The yoga class will be in the studio in inclement weather.
 
Yoga Flow:
  This 75-minute class takes participants through multiple rounds of Salute to the Sun combined with standing and floor based Hatha yoga postures. Geared to improved stamina and muscular strength. This class is for those looking for a more active yoga class.

Heated Yoga
  This 90 minute class is similar to our yoga stretch but practiced in a room heated to 80 – 85 degrees. Practicing in the heat helps to improve your flexibility and cleanses the body. Note: This is not a Bikram Yoga Class.

Yoga-Pilates Flow Combo Class:
  This 90 minute class takes participants through multiple rounds of Salutation to the Sun combined with a variety of Hatha yoga postures and Pilates core work. Concludes with a stretch and relaxation session.
